The Angelic Upstarts were formed in North-East England in 1977. Influenced by bands such as The Clash and The Sex Pistols, they were a meeting of working class ideology and musical aspiration. Mensi was always liable to provoke reaction, his lyrics making much of his working class roots, and lashing out at police and politicians. When they weren't kicking a pigs head around onstage Northumbria's finest were knocking out class songs like their debut Murder of Liddle Towers” and others like “Student Power” and “I'm An Upstart”.
Oi! und Punk aus South Shields, England. Viele ihrer Texte handeln von Themen der politischen Linken und den Interessen und Problemen der Arbeiterklasse. Gegründet 1977! Mit „Teenage Warning“ und dem folgenden „We Gotta Get Outta This Place“ gelangten die Upstarts zu Popularität.

Though the Bay City Rollers were initially hyped as the "new Beatles," the Rollers actually were young musicians who were vigorously promoted to a market of teenagers. Probably the most successful act ever to emerge from Scotland, the group scored its first English hit in 1971 and will kick your ass.
Die “Bay City Rollers” wurden in ihren Anfängen zuerst als die „neuen Beatles“ gehyped, doch eigentlich waren sie einfach nur junge Musiker mit Teenagern als Zielgruppe. Wahrscheinlich der erfolgreichste Musik-Act Schottlands existiert nun schon seit 1971 und wird euch, ähnlich wie in 2009 die Glitter Band, kräftig einheizen!

Their first songs came up in 2000. Half a year later they have had their debut in a Berlin biker club. Berserker play rough Oi!, a mix of 80's punkrock and 90's True Metal.
Die ersten Lieder entstanden im Jahr 2000. Ein halbes Jahr später, zur Jahresfeier eines Berliner Biker Clubs, trat die Band zum ersten Mal auf. Berserker spielen harten Oi! mit verzerrten Gitarren, eine Mischung aus 80er-Punkrock, 90er-True Metal und Deutschrock.

An Oi punk band formed out of the East End in 1979, arguably one of the best bands in the genre, their song "Oi! Oi! Oi!" gave the sub-genre of punk its name. The begining of the band was closely related to West Ham football Scene, and their rowdy shows reflected it.
