Anti Racism World Cup 2010

The weekend kicks off on Friday 16th July at 7pm with a welcome session followed by a film and talk on the life of Irish International Brigader Charlie Donnelly who fought against the fascists in the Spanish Civil war. At 9pm the Punk Football disco features three of FC Utd of Manchester Radio's Djs, playing Ska, Northern Soul and Indie tracks. Saturday 10am the Football starts finishing up at 1pm to allow the FCUM and Cliftonville players full use of the Pitch. At this time the Palestinian team will talk about living under the Israeli occupation. 3PM FCUM vs Cliftonville followed immiediately by Music in the bar until the Dutch Ska band the Roosters come on at 9pm. On sunday morning from 11am the football continues to a conclusion. While this is happening there will be a Kiddies fun day involving we hope, drummers, climbing wall, face painters etc. The Congolese team will also show a film at 1pm. Followed by music and chill out session .All are welcome throughout the weekend so come along, meet the visitors and show your support for what is likely to be the biggest anti-racism initiative in Ireland in 2010.

Finalised program for ARWC 2010

All events at Donegal Celtic FC

Friday 16th July
1-5pm - Registration, plus guided political tours of West Belfast, and visit to Belfast Celtic museum available
5-9pm - Start of football tourny, 32 teams from around the world, and across Ireland compete in the ARWC
7pm - Welcome session for international guests followed by Film show and talk on the life of Irish International Brigade Veteran Charlie Donnelly from Tyrone who gave his life fighting Franco's fascists. 9.30 Aprox PUNK FOOTBALL DISCO with Djs from FC United Radio playing a mixture of Ska, Northern Soul, Reggae and 80's Madchester sounds.

Saturday 17th
10am - 1pm footy tourny.
1pm - Soccer finishes for the day and members of the Palestinian Team will be doing a short talk in the Clubhouse. 3pm Cliftonville vs FCUM followed by Music, more Djs then Dutch Ska band the Roosterz at 9pm followed by music till late.

Sunday 18th
10am - football restarts and plays to a conclusion.
1pm - the Congolese team are showing a short film on the situation in the Congo. Followed by chill out session more music and trophy presentation.
